Back into habits
Looks like I'll be reviewing consistenly again ^^, although I'm not sure how often I will have a story...
Anyway, this piece is..AWESOME, it's soo very soothing, and fills me with tranquility..and if I might say so, I could definately see this in an RPG (I used to play a few RPG's, not hugely mainstream ones like WoW though..more like the ones you get online, such as Silkroad (side note--Music in that game is also quite neat)).
As for the music itself..the..(i'm not sure how to correctly classify this) harp maybe? (of course it sounds like it's been tampered with, but a hard base?) is possibly my favorite part of the piece...(maybe even a plucked bass..).
Even though this exotic flute of sorts seems to be the main theme of the music...i just really must stress how much I love that background part..WOAH.
Harmonies are my favorite part in music.
Continueing..another part of the song that really amazes me..the melody..I swear never repeats itself..well to a full extent, they all seem to be variations of the original melody..this I like..
In this song I don't necessarily see a story (or have the iendurance to write one..I'm completely zapped), but I definately see an image; or moreso a landscape that is being panned over.
We are standing or at least veiwing from somewhere elevated, but not distanced from a forest, darkened by midnight, lit only with streams of like through the woods. The moon is only but a sliver, and the sky is not filled with clouds, but an ashy mist. As we pan through looking over the landscape (almost looking like an impressoinists painting), the trees, although hardly outlined, whine in the wind. And as the candlelit procession continues, we silently watch, and feel a since of being invited to just stay and watch a while.
To just stay..and watch a while.
I hope I got my image through...although it's great in my head, I feel, in a way, imagery illiterate right now..so hopefully you get what I'm saying >.<.
I'll have to look at that game sometime, and by the way, keep it up; not just because that's what people say at the end of a positive review, but because now it's evident that you will go somewhere with music..just as long as you keep it up.
