Wow.

Absolutely no complaints. It sounded exactly how you said it would.

Actually, one thing. Tone the lead that comes in at 1:40 down just a smidgen. It sounds great later around 2:05, but when it comes in it's kind of overpowering. And I mean overpowering even though you intended it to be...It's overoverpowering there.

This is fantastic though. Getting a favorite from me.

P.S. Sweet basses. Sweet percussion.

I knew it.

I knew that stories were still in you. I just had to check. :)

Selcuk you never fail my friend. I have to keep telling myself that it's just my imagination to keep from getting all teary eyed on this one..

This actually would be great during an opening cinematic for a game...woah....very good. Does anyone commission games to music? They should. This is a strong bit of evidence for proof.

I love you,

MaestroRage responds:

Hey Bob!

The stories never left. Even in the endless stream of loops i've been making lately I instill a story in them. Even if it's not immediately noticable, they are there.

I am truly glad you were able to feel what I felt while writing the piece. Such tragedy, such incredibly pointless devastation. Failing to protect even the young from it's venomous reach.

As for whether people commission games to music, I have actually seen this happen a few times. But very few of the games come to fruition.

Thank you for the review, it is truly great to hear from you again!

Take care.

Great but..

The vocals could be more..."in the song feeling" ;). It seems like they should play more of a powerhouse role in melody. I mean..I realize that it is the focus, but it could use more "epic" if that makes sense.

I love the music! It's just technical things that are unnerving me a little.. Erm, I feel like there could have been a bit more progression in the song. The beginning has a nice bit, but later it kinda just relies too much on the vocals in my opinion. Also, I could use a few "wetter" synths. I dig the piano part though.

PUMP UP THAT BASS! I could use more of it :). And I mean in addition to the synth bass you have, I was something that makes my room shake. I have a sub and I intend for it to be used! ;).

P.S. Just trying to be constructive without coming off wrong. If I gave you a ten that would imply that the song could not be any better in any way. I give tens sometimes for moral support, but you have plenty of that. So you get an honest rating.

Still alive?

Haha, hello there!
I see you're still doin your thing with ambient music. ;)
This does exactly what I think you want it to do. By the way, it still sounds like metroid.

The snare drum could be different..like more of a crunching sound (especially when it first comes in). I think the same style percussion this guy uses would be good for you too: http://helix6.newgrounds.com/

Outside of that it's a well round piece!
So, how are you these days? ;)

Aresdev responds:

He lives!! Wow, thanks for the feedback. I will have to give that a listen, maybe I can come up with something. I put another one up, so yeah. I'm working again.

Awesome <-- true meaning

:)

eh?

Sexy

Its like someone is drowning me in ambrosia.

2:40 actually made love to me metaphorically AND physically.

I never felt sooo good.

Bout time ;)

Jesus man, took forever! You kept telling me about that chinese album, but I never saw it. This explains why ;). Love the theme still though. Was a great melody, and doesn't really get old for a long time. Good to hear it again just for old times sake!

I am especially a fan of the filter usage and buildup-ish-ness around 1:10. But even more to the key change at 2:25...which owned face. That's what set's this one apart from the other 2 in my mind. Yay for key changes!

Mostly I am just happy I got to hear it another time! Thanks for submitting this, even just for fun.

Noice!

I'm goind a good job picturing (what is visualizing for the ears?) vocals to this. Very nice. Only criticisms are : "Are you Ready?" seems like the vox on that is out of place...walkie talkie sound. Also, the clap you used could have been a better song it seems. Also, extended would be nice. If not only for a beat-breakdown.

Overall this is hot though. Great work.

DJ-VIZ responds:

yeah the are you ready I just put in for the ngs mix, but for the final version it won't be in it...yeah I can picture the vocals too lol. thanks for the rev

Interesting.

Overall, very nice. Are you playing bass too?

I always love to hear my favorite artists expirement, so I had a predisposition to enjoy this song. However, I really do think it's a good song beyond my bias.
Only issue is that sometimes your vocal reverb gets..BOOOOM. Yes.

As for the poll, yes pursue this guitar thing, and the piano thing. Perhaps even make a song with both flavors (of this booty licious bubble gum?).

Good job,
~TWM

This is not real.

Wow, this is possibly the best song I have ever heard. And with it, the perfect title to it. I therefore conclude that this is not real, but a figment of my imagination. Good try, but I must deduct 2 points for being fake.

Good day to you SIR!
~TWM

P.S. O,o

Rig responds:

I'm pretty sure it's real.
