Very nice.

Can't wait to see a finish product, just make sure you don't rush it complete, or else it will end up not being to it's full glory =P.
The theme and melody here rocks by the way, perfect for this kind of song.

only other piece of advice would be to watch your mastering on the synth that comes in at 0:27, by the time it gets to about 40 seconds its really overpowering, just tone it down maybe a touch.

Also I love the re-build at :45 it prevents the song from becoming repetitive (nice use of filter here).

Another idea is at some point of the song if it breaks down again, add some nice string synths in there playing the underlying chord structure of the song in place of the pulsing synth on the off-beats.

can't wait,

Back into habits

Looks like I'll be reviewing consistenly again ^^, although I'm not sure how often I will have a story...

Anyway, this piece is..AWESOME, it's soo very soothing, and fills me with tranquility..and if I might say so, I could definately see this in an RPG (I used to play a few RPG's, not hugely mainstream ones like WoW though..more like the ones you get online, such as Silkroad (side note--Music in that game is also quite neat)).

As for the music itself..the..(i'm not sure how to correctly classify this) harp maybe? (of course it sounds like it's been tampered with, but a hard base?) is possibly my favorite part of the piece...(maybe even a plucked bass..).
Even though this exotic flute of sorts seems to be the main theme of the music...i just really must stress how much I love that background part..WOAH.
Harmonies are my favorite part in music.

Continueing..another part of the song that really amazes me..the melody..I swear never repeats itself..well to a full extent, they all seem to be variations of the original melody..this I like..

In this song I don't necessarily see a story (or have the iendurance to write one..I'm completely zapped), but I definately see an image; or moreso a landscape that is being panned over.

We are standing or at least veiwing from somewhere elevated, but not distanced from a forest, darkened by midnight, lit only with streams of like through the woods. The moon is only but a sliver, and the sky is not filled with clouds, but an ashy mist. As we pan through looking over the landscape (almost looking like an impressoinists painting), the trees, although hardly outlined, whine in the wind. And as the candlelit procession continues, we silently watch, and feel a since of being invited to just stay and watch a while.
To just stay..and watch a while.

I hope I got my image through...although it's great in my head, I feel, in a way, imagery illiterate right now..so hopefully you get what I'm saying >.<.

I'll have to look at that game sometime, and by the way, keep it up; not just because that's what people say at the end of a positive review, but because now it's evident that you will go somewhere with music..just as long as you keep it up.

Hello Magi! It has a while my good sir, I am glad to read a review from you!

Harmonies are a favorite of mine too. Though I love leading melodies, with the right harmonies, it just blows everything up scale after scale.

There was not meant to be much of a story. It is a very relaxing piece, rather then spend energy creating, it is a piece meant to make you reserve your energy. To return into a restful state. So it's natural that you don't really feel the desire to write a story, and I can understand it.

I did get your image, and enjoyed living it myself. Thanks for sharing!

we'll keep our fight Magi, thank you for the review, really! We're glad you liked it!

Well..

This one in my opinion is just about as good as the new one...EXCEPT the MASTERING, ouch, lol. I'm no good at mastering yet, but I can tell that this needed some help ;P, some of the sweeps and things are just like razor blades ô.ô.

The synth you keep using for the buildups rocks though.

FYI, while this one is great, I would like to tell you that the new one IS better, especially in the technique-based aspect of it.

Been a while

Haven't reviewed you since...eternal youth? I knew you would be up here (top 5) at some time, just by listening to eternal youth however long ago it was. Good job, you didn't disapoint.

You don't have vocals in this one ;P. Anyway, great themes going on in this song, I like the title to go with it to, for the song kind of has this feeling of "why?" you know? Anyway, you can get yourself lost in this music=great trance.

Keep it up!

Dibs on 100th review ;)

This is an interesting song you have here hania..I know the sheer plot of it was a goddess whom was murdered and forced to live on the earth which she had created.

However, I really like the part of the song that is based upon the last 2 lines "I am not free.." I think this song not only portrays the story of this "goddess", but how people actually feel on this earth..I like that entire stanza "Each time I cry it rains to me, when someone dies, their eyes I see", it flows very well.

To sum it up, I really like the principal you portrayed within the last 2 lines of the song. Keep it up! And don't forget that your great (Just don't let it get to your head..it can skew inspiration if taken the wrong way..but you seem to be taking the compliments the right way :D).

Artistic Menaevolence!?

That was midly creepy...

Anyway, great song! Ha, just read the part about it being a spinoff of silver memory, and I was just about to feel clever for making a connection too...(The "MEOW" made me look up there and read, lol).

This is amazing, you know in the beginning I half-expected a ratchet going "One--two-and----3---4--&" I think it woulda been kinda cool..if you know what I mean by that, kinda a grinding sound..

I love the last line. "When it's all over, she'll learn how to cry"

I really felt that one, it's sheer artistic genious right there ;P.

Slightly distraught,

*teary eyed*

This is wonderful my good man!

I love that sort of acoustic guitars? trills, they are my favorite part...well that and the ocean :D.

I seem to hear ALOT of different samples and soundfonts then I normally find from you it seems here, it's kind of a nice change, although it nearly feels like a different artist...I can only tell it's you by something I can't explain (other then the fact that your name is written on it..).

Well then, HAPPY BIRTHDAY LADYARSENIC! :D!! So many times I've heard you...and about you ;). And happy valentines day to top it off...oh my...the song just started over..and I remembered how much I LOVE THE INTRO...

Well without further adieu, HAVE A HAPPY HAPPY HAPPY HAPPY HAPPY HAPPY HAPPY HAPPY HAPPY HAPPY HAPPY HAPPY HAPPY HAPPY HAP-HAP-HAPPY HAPIDDY-HAP HAPIDDY-HAPPY DAY TOMORROW! THE BOTH OF YOU!!!

Taking a silently loud leave,
~TheWisestMagi~

P.S. sorry about the CAPS splurge there, the song is just so exciting ;P (you know how that gets xD).

MaestroRage responds:

It's actually, very few instruments here. LadyArsenic makes her songs with so few instruments, and they're so powerful. I felt it would be only right to try and follow in her footsteps. Let me tell you, it is not as easy as it looks D:

I've got even more respect for her since making this song. Maybe you can tell it's me because I sacrifice 5 grass blades and make tea out of them every time I submit. The grassy suffering... it's everywhere D:

Thank you for your review TWM! Truly appreciated, i'm glad you liked it :)!

Woooooooooooooosh

Sweet job!

Makes me feel like I'm GLIDING (not flying..) through some clouds or something...
and yeah choral music is nearly impossible to right in any other way but a spurt to me..you (or at least I) have to have some sort of mental sound of what I'm going for.

Submit more choral, I like them :D.
~TheWisestMagi~

*Headbangs*

Really cool man, I can rock out to this...although at one point it got kinda repetetive...GREAT voice cutting, and sweet riffs, I love the ending ALOT.

Other then that I just like the concept of this one..so cool xD.

~TheWisestMagi~

djt820 responds:

Thank you kind sir! \m/

I will always remember...

= ) This was one of my favoritves back then, and I see that it has not changed....it is simply beautiful...

Wow...I had not heard this much of the song last time ;') I like it more then ever now...just wow man O_o..

I can't even think of what to say except oh my god...and why did you never submit this dammit = ) (the full version)..

I'm still blown away at this song..wow those tribal war drums are just..still pumping through the wong...and those beautiful bells that were so harshly criticized (i still remember ;P) seem to be getting some greater respect now...wow they even give this song some sort of indescribable mysterious feeling.

OH MY GOD, I love this O_o..I really wish that project wre never cancelled = (, this song in all of it's glory BLOWS AWAY the sample that you gave us you devil = )....well I guess I wouldn't have submitted it for a while either...theres always a hope that the project wre never cancelled right? D:

All I can ask is to go back and read my story...but this time to this music = )...and of course your initial response...those were good times to me...

Well Maestro sorry I haven't been reviewing as much lately...I seem to just be drawn away from home more and more now, but always remember I'm listening to your stuff! (Newgrounds Spectrum was awesome >.<..but I think this song nearly puts it to shame...this is amazing. And to be honest I must tell you I loved the Morning Mist song..).

Sorry to jam those side reviews into this, it's just as I listen to this piece I am filled with inspiration :D...I nearly feel enlightened seriously..

See you around Maestro,
~TheWisestMagi~

P.S. Don't forget to tell me when you are famous so I can take credit for knowing you ;)
